When we retired we built a home and lived in Estes Park - from 1995 to 2003. We loved Rocky Mountain NP and spent a lot of time there. And we have been back to visit a few times.

RMNP - Bear Lake  This is a very popular & easily accessible spot. Hallett Peak is up 3238' from here - to 12,713'. We have hiked to this summit 3 times - do I need to say "spectacular views"? |

RMNP - Longs Peak  The only "Fourteener" (14,000'+) in RMNP. this is the view we essentially get from the rear window of our RV. |
RMNP - Longs Peak  This is telephoto shot from RV site. We have hiked to the first notch coming down the right side of the peak - known as "The Keyhole" - it is at about 12,000'. Once you pass thru it the trail is narrow shelf / ridge with long dropoffs. We chose not to do it! |
